April is Military Saves Month! Military Saves, a component of America Saves, and a participant in the Department of Defense Financial Readiness Network seeks to motivation, support, and encourages the entire military community to save money, reduce debt, and build wealth. Military Saves encourages the entire military community to take the Military Saves pledge and for the organizations to promote year-round savings, and especially during April. You can take the Military Saves pledge here. On this episode Katie is joined by Phil Anagnostos, a member of the Marine Corps. Phil has many years’ experience in the Marine Corps and not only discusses military saves with Katie, but also shares some of his own personal stories and experiences. Katie and Phil discuss safeguarding your bills and debts before deploying, military pay, how to budget and save your money, and much more.
