On this episode of Millennial Debt Domination, Katie discusses what CPA’s do and how to determine if you need one to help you do your taxes.
With tax season in full swing, it’s a great time to speak with a CPA about how they can help someone during tax season. CPA stands for Certified Public Accountant and it’s the title given to qualified accountants. The CPA is a license to provided account services to the public. Katie is joined by Nicole DeRosa, a CPA and a senior tax manager at Wiss and company. Katie and Nicole discuss the difference between a CPA and a regular accountant, different services a CPA provides, how often you should meet with a CPA, and much more. Katie and Nicole also touch on other financial related topics such as estates and trusts, 401k’s, and tax implications upon death. Don’t forget tax day is on April 15 and you must have your taxes filed by then!
